Changes for 2017

 

Entry Fees For the 2017 Qualifying Events will be $140 and will Include 1st & 2nd Big Bass


Tournament of Champions Entry Fees will be $240 which will include 1st & 2nd Big Bass for each day.

 

The tournament director reserves the right to refuse entry of any person.  Entry Forms must be filled out in full and signed by all participants for every event they participate in.

 

13 SUBSTITUTION: If two (2) qualified individual fishermen elect to fish together because their teammates are not available to participate, they may establish a new team or designate on the application form, prior to the commencement of fishing, which team will receive the points based on their final tournament standings.

 

24. PROTEST: Any properly constituted team may file a protest alleging the violation of the Tournament Rules. The protest must be in writing signed by the protestor, and filed within fifteen minutes after the conclusion of weigh-in. This must include a clear explanation of the events giving rise to the Protest, the results that is being contested and the Team(s) involved in the alleged improper action. The Tournament Director will decide if the Protest has sufficient merit to proceed. If the director decides that there is sufficient merit to precede a three (3) person Protest Committee will be formed by the Tournament Director to determine the Protest ruling.  If the Protest is found to be well taken, the Team(s) accused of improper activity will have (15) minutes to elect to defend or to agree to the Protest. If the team(s) does not reply within the 15 minute time frame they forfeit their right to defend.  If the team(s) involved has a reasonable argument to believe that the decision of the committee and the director is incorrect they can appeal the decision of the committee to Anglers Dream LLC. If the team(s) elects to appeal the decision to Anglers Dream LLC they must notify the tournament director immediately after the onsite ruling. After that the team(s) is/are required to send a written appeal to Anglers Dream LLC within 24 hours after the event. This must be accompanied with a $200 money order which will be used for the cost of arbitration. This appeal must be in writing and signed by all people involve.  If the ruling is changed the $200 fee will be reimbursed and the prize fund adjusted. The decision of the arbitrator is final.

The repeated initiation of improper Protest may result in individuals and/or Teams being suspended for indefinite periods at the discretion of Anglers Dream LLC.  Any and all contestants are subject to a truth verification exam (polygraph test), at the discretion of the tournament director or official. Failure to take and successfully complete this test is reason for disqualification and forfeit of all prizes from this and all other Anglers Dream events. All members agree to give Anglers Dream LLC permission to take and publish any photos and/or videos taken during this event.

 

 

25. CHOICE OF LAWS: Participation in any Tournament hosted or sponsored by Angler’s Dream, LLC does not create a contract, either expressed or implied, between the participants and Angler’s Dream, LLC. Any tournament is a competitive contest. As a result, Angler’s Dream, LLC reserves the right to review all results and to disqualify any participant, at any time, even after the awarding of prizes, for unsportsmanlike conduct, cheating, failure to follow the rules and any other violation or infraction that may come to light. The contestants/participants acknowledge that the contest/tournament was conducted under the laws of the State of Indiana and that they are bound by the laws of the State of Indiana. Further, the contestants/participants acknowledge that any action against Angler’s Dream, LLC must be brought in the Superior Courts of Lake County, Indiana.

 

Entry fees for the Tournament of Champions will be $240 which includes first and second big bass entries for both days. There will be a mandatory rules meeting for all contestant participating in the 2017 Tournament of Champions. This meeting will take place inside the AmericInn hotel meeting room, 1835 Rose St, La Crosse, WI 54603, at 5:00pm on Thursday September 21, 2017. Both members must attend and sign in upon arriving at the meeting and sign out at after the meeting concludes. Entry Forms must be filled out in full and signed by all participants.

 

Angler of the Year:

 

The top  three teams in points in the Anglers Dream overall standings will qualify for angler of the year.

The top team in points in any division averages 5 to 14 boats will qualify

The top two teams in points in any division that averages 15 to 24 will qualify

The top three teams in points in any division that averages 25 to 34 points will qualify

The top four teams in total points in any single division that averages over 35 boats will qualify.

The winner will be determined by the highest finishing team in the tournament of champions from the list of qualified teams.

The Anglers of the Year will be awarded $500 and 2 plaques.

2017 Anglers Dream Tournament Rules

 

1. SAFETY: Safe boating conduct must be observed at all times. Each competitor is required to wear a Coast Guard approved life preserver whenever the combustion engine is operating. All boats must be equipped with an ignition kill switch. A lanyard is to be attached to the boat kill switch and operator any time the combustion engine is operating.

 

2. SPORTSMANSHIP: Tournament competitors are expected to adhere to high standards of sportsmanship, courtesy, safety and conservation. Any infraction of these fundamental sporting principles may be deemed cause for disqualification. Consumption of alcoholic beverages or illegal possession or use of a controlled substance during the tournament or tournament functions will be grounds for disqualification from this event and all further Anglers Dream events. Any contestants cited for a violation of state, marine, fishing or conservation laws will be disqualified.

 

3. TACKLE AND EQUIPMENT: Only artificial lures may be used. (No live or prepared bait will be allowed with the exception of pork strips, rinds, etc.) Commercial fish attractants are allowed. Only one casting or spinning rod, 8’ maximum length may be used at any time.

 

4. HORSEPOWER REGULATIONS: Only Boats and Motors that are in compliance with the B.I.A. horsepower rating will be allowed to participate.

 

5. BASIC BOAT EQUIPMENT: Every boat must have all required Coast Guard safety equipment, in addition to a live well properly aerated to adequately maintain a live five bass team limit.

 

6. PERMITTED FISHING LOCATIONS: Fishing on tournament waters is permitted anywhere except those areas designated off limits on the day of the tournament or within 50 yards of another competitor’s boat which was first anchored. Competitors may not have any location reserved or saved by either another competitor or non-competitor during the event. All angling must be done from the boat. Contestants may not depart the boat to retrieve a fish. The boat must remain in legal tournament waters on tournament days. Both team members must remain in the boat at all times except in the case of dire emergency.

 

7. OFFICIAL CHECK POINT: There shall be only one (1) official point for check out in the morning and check in for the afternoon. At the time of check out all boats are expected to be within full compliance of the rules.

 

8. SCORING: Tournament standing and final winners shall be determined by the pound and fraction of a pound of each teams catch during the event. Only largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass will be weighed. All contestants are bound by the prevailing statutes and regulations of the state in which they are participating. All bass must be caught live and conventional sporting manner. Any fish deemed caught foul hooked will not be weighed. At no time shall a team have more than 5 fish in possession during the event. In the event that a team has more fish in their possession than the described limit, tournament officials shall cull the fish starting with the largest fish down to the five fish tournament limit. Culling fish is allowed. No dead fish are to be culled during the event.

 

9. DEAD FISH PENALTY: A penalty of one-half (1/2) of a pound will be deducted for each dead fish brought in at the time of weigh-in.

 

10. ELIGIBILITY: Participation is open to qualified anglers of either sex who are members of Anglers Dream. One member of each team must be eighteen (18) years of age or older. B.A.S.S. elite series and FLW touring professionals are not eligible. The tournament director reserves the right to refuse entry of any person.  Entry Forms must be filled out in full and signed by all participants for every event they participate in. Entry fees will be $140 which will includes first and second big bass.

 

11. REGISTRATION: An official Anglers Dream entry form must be filled out and signed by both participants for the Tournament of Champions. At least one (1) member of the team must be present for the registration. Failure to register during the prescribed time shall result in loss of starting position and reassigned to the back of field.

 

12. STARTING POSITIONS: Starting positions will be drawn at  the mandatory pre-tournament meeting.

 

13. SUBSTITUTION: Each team is allowed 1 substitute per year. A member can fish alone. If two (2) qualified individual fishermen elect to fish together because their teammates are not available to participate, they may establish a new team or designate on the application form, prior to the commencement of fishing, which team will receive the points based on their final tournament standings.

 

14. PAIRINGS: This is a “fish with your buddy” tournament., two anglers per boat. Angling or non-angling guest are not permitted.

 

15. PRE-TOURNAMENT PRACTICE: Practice or Scouting of fish will be allowed up to sunset the day before the event.

 

16. Off LIMITS: There will be no off limits unless the director designates it the day of the tournament.

 

17. NO WAKE ZONES: All no wake zones and areas are NO PASS zones unless the boat being passed is fishing, gives permission to pass, is inoperable.

 

18. SHORT FISH PENALTY:Any fish presented for weigh-in by a contestant that fails to measure the minimum designated size limit by the Department of Natural Resources for the body of water they are participating on shall not be counted in the days totals. In addition, the largest fish of that days catch for that team shall also be culled.

 

19. LATE PENALTY: Competitors who have not arrived at the appointed time shall be penalized one pound per each minute that they are late. Any team over ten minutes late will lose credit for that days entire catch.

 

20. TIES: Big bass will break total stringer weight ties. Total stringer weight will break  big bass ties.

 

21. BREAKDOWNS: In the case of a break down a team can get towed back to the ramp. Prior to the tow the team in the broke down boat must contact the tournament director. Both members of the team in the broke down boat must remain in their boats and cease fishing for the remainder of the day. A team cannot change boats during the day and must return in the same boat that they had checked in that morning. Any team assisting a broke down boat must immediately notify the director for direction as how to proceed.

 

22. COMPLIANCE: It shall be the sole responsibility of all entrants to comply with the said rules and regulations.

 

23. RULINGS: The Tournament Director and his designated appointees shall reserve the right for rules interpretations and rulings thereof. Furthermore, the tournament director reserves the right to change dates or sites of any given tournament.

To qualify for this event two entrants must be designated as a team on the entry forms for the qualifying events that they participated in. A member of a qualified team whose partner can't attend this event can join together with another qualified member to create an eligible team. To qualify a member must enter a minimum of five events during the season and must accumulate 160 or more points in their best five events in any one division. A qualified member can fish alone. The 2017 Tournament of Champions will take place on Sept. 22 nd and Sept. 23rd  and will be held on Pool 8 of the Mississippi River in Lacrosse Wisconsin (Clinton Street Boat Launch). Entry fees for the Tournament of Champions will be $240 which includes first and second big bass entries for both days. There will be a mandatory rules meeting for all contestant participating in the 2017 Tournament of Champions.  Anglers Dream reserves the right to change the time and/or date of any event due to unsafe conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

Consumption of alcoholic beverages or illegal possession or use of a controlled substance during the tournament or tournament functions or any infraction of fundamental any violation of state, marine, fishing or conservation laws sporting principles will not be tolerated.  Any violation of these basic rules.  may be deemed cause for disqualification. from that event and all further Anglers Dream events.

In the event that a participant has more fish in their possession than  the described limit, tournament officials shall cull the fish to the tournament limit starting with the largest fish down to the limit described. 

 

9. DEAD FISH PENALTY: A penalty of one-half (1/2) of a pound will be deducted for each dead fish brought in at the time of weigh-in. 

 

10. ELIGIBILITY: Participation is open to anglers of either sex who are members of Anglers Dream. Participant must be eighteen (18) years of age or older. No FLW touring or BASS Elite Series Professional allowed.

15. NO WAKE ZONES: All no wake zones and areas are NO PASS zones unless the boat being passed is fishing, gives permission to pass, is inoperable or multiple boat lanes permit a different route to be taken. 

 

16. SHORT FISH PENALTY: Any fish presented for weigh-in by a contestant that fails to measure the minimum size limit designated for the event shall not be counted in the days totals. In addition, the largest fish of that days catch for that team shall also be culled.

ANGLER OF THE YEAR:

 

During the year $2.00 from each entry will be set in a pool. From that trophies will be purchased for this award and the remainder of the fund will be awarded to the top point finisher. This award will be presented to the angler of the year in each division at the year end Divisional championship.

 

 

2017 Anglers Dream Singles Championship

 

To qualify for the 2017  Anglers Dream Singles Championship an entrant must accumulate 160 or more points. Points can be accumulated in either one division or a combination of any of the Anglers Dream singles divisions. Points are accumulated as follows. The winner of any weekend qualifying event with less than 10 boats will receive 40 points. Second place finisher will receive 39 points, third place finisher 38 and on down. Participating anglers not weighing in any fish will receive 30 points. The winner in events that have over 10 participants will receive 30 points plus the number of participants. Each place after first will receive one less point than the participant that finished above them in the final standings for that event.  All participants will be awarded a minimum of 30 points. In the night division points will be one half of the points awarded in the weekend divisions. There will be NO off limits.  The 2017 Singles Championship will  take place on October 7 & 8, 2017 on the Mississippi River Pool 13 In Savana IllinoisI. There will be a mandatory pre-tournament rules meeting on Saturday October 7 at 6:15 AM Savana City Boat Ramp.  The tournament will commence at first safe light.  Entry fee for the 2017 Anglers Dream Singles Championship will be $80 due by Monday October 2. Entries received after that will be charged a $20 late fee.
